A-Z Free Video Converter is one of those converters that tries to convert absolutely everything in one package. For the most part, it succeeds although invariably you'll find that some formats you simply can't convert to or receive and error message for. The interface displays all the common tasks that most converters have - task List, preview window and configuration of audio and video. Additionally, you can select which parts of each file you wish to convert so you don't have to convert the whole thing if you don't want to. I liked the fact that you can lineup a batch of conversions and then instruct the PC to shutdown automatically when it's done.
However, some formats are problematic. Sometimes this is because there is no CODEC for that particular video file in your system. As a rule, if your PC can play the file, you have the codec installed and should be able to convert it in A-Z Free Video Converter. The developers recommend the K-Lite Codec Pack as the most suitable for their program.
This is a bold attempt at a multiformat converter although as described, it does throw up problems regarding certain formats.
